Height of Impermanence!!!

I am finding it pretty funny and depressing at the same time that the mind that understands is also impermanent!!! I guess that is why heart sutra says - no attainment and no gain?

  1. Why is impermanence depressing, while it is the very nature of existence?

  3. "Permanence" and "impermanence" should be stricken from our vocabulary. The word "Permanent" sits there smugly as if it means something. As if it has something to offer. It's like speaking of a six legged golden talking monkey... pure fantasy. There is no impermanent thing and there is no permanent thing.

  5. MyoChi,

Don't you dare set me up like that! I really can't tell the top side of my zafu from the bottom yet. I am fairly comfortable with the concept of non-duality, but not the realization of it. It is indeed extremely haaaaaaaaaard.

  6. Impermanence. If we got it fully in our hearts all the time. How easy it would be!

  7. Impermanence and change are the undeniable truths of our existence & mind is the center ...Because of ignorance, an ordinary mind conceives them all to be part of one continuous reality. But in truth they are not.
